Vienna, A Beautiful City.

The one and only, drinking a cappuccino on our first day in Vienna.
David's place in Vienna. We could not have had better accommodations.
The old church in the center of the city, Stephansplatz.Shopping in Stephansplatz.Sacher Torte, soooooo good! Eating this was on every top 10 things to do in Vienna!
Posing with/like Mozart! We attended a Strauss and Mozart Concert, how mature of us, I know. There was an orchestra, ballet dancers, and singers--I am glad at the ripe age of 21 I am old enough to enjoy this!Probably the BEST gelato in the world.Whispering sweet nothings in the elephants ear...We rented city bikes and rode them around gorgeous Vienna. One of the many green parks in the city. We sat in them for hours and did some good people watching. There was a BMX competition in front of city hall (the building behind the biker doing a flip) one of the weekends. There were bikers from all over Europe.
When the clock struck midnight in Vienna on my birthday, we were sitting around David's house and Madge and Liz surprised me with some champaign to celebrate! I can't believe how legal I am now!The carnival in Vienna that is year-round. This is us on the swing ride. It went so high! Liz and are the two sitting together, picture courtesy of Margaret Kay. Roller Coaster!Behind Schonbrunn Palace. We were about to climb up that hill.
After climbing the hill, Schonbrunn Palace is behind me, along with the rest of Vienna.

Okay, so this is a crazy story. We met this guy, also one of David's acquaintances, at an event at David's university. We soon find out that he has not only traveled to the States, but that he lived in SPOKANE, WASHINGTON for a year of his life. We couldn't believe it! He was an exchange student and got placed in Spokane his senior year of high school--Mt. Spokane high school to be exact. He goes back to visit his host family every year, and when he is in Spoke he frequently visits the ULTIMATE BAGEL! Also, as you can see, he drives in Washington and plans on renewing his license this summer. This really is a SMALL WORLD.
