The Bitter Sweet End

So Cyprus is coming to an end, I will be coming home Friday the 23rd, and it is definitely bitter sweet. The past couple of weekends we have spent at the beach in Agia Napa, and the weather has been amazing! Classes are over and I just have 3 tests left. It is insane how fast time flies. I am really going to miss it here!
Our program took us out to dinner after we had our final goodbye ceremony.

Mexican restaurant in Napa.

All of Madge's sisters came for a week and a half, it was fun to show them around!
The people at the Mexican Restaurant loved us so they gave us the hats you see and FREE margaritas!

Madge, Lisa and I.

Nissi Beach.

While we were tanning on the beach, these large pelicans walked right by our towels. Everyone was taking pictures like they were celebrites--they were!

They were gigantic!

On our way for one of our last nights on the town together!

The map at the Irish pub we went to a few times. My family is from county Monaghan!

This is our favorite group shot, it really captues the moment--living it up. I am going to miss everyone a lot!

Vienna, A Beautiful City.

The one and only, drinking a cappuccino on our first day in Vienna.
David's place in Vienna. We could not have had better accommodations.
The old church in the center of the city, Stephansplatz.Shopping in Stephansplatz.Sacher Torte, soooooo good! Eating this was on every top 10 things to do in Vienna!
Posing with/like Mozart! We attended a Strauss and Mozart Concert, how mature of us, I know. There was an orchestra, ballet dancers, and singers--I am glad at the ripe age of 21 I am old enough to enjoy this!Probably the BEST gelato in the world.Whispering sweet nothings in the elephants ear...We rented city bikes and rode them around gorgeous Vienna. One of the many green parks in the city. We sat in them for hours and did some good people watching. There was a BMX competition in front of city hall (the building behind the biker doing a flip) one of the weekends. There were bikers from all over Europe.
When the clock struck midnight in Vienna on my birthday, we were sitting around David's house and Madge and Liz surprised me with some champaign to celebrate! I can't believe how legal I am now!The carnival in Vienna that is year-round. This is us on the swing ride. It went so high! Liz and are the two sitting together, picture courtesy of Margaret Kay. Roller Coaster!Behind Schonbrunn Palace. We were about to climb up that hill.
After climbing the hill, Schonbrunn Palace is behind me, along with the rest of Vienna.

Okay, so this is a crazy story. We met this guy, also one of David's acquaintances, at an event at David's university. We soon find out that he has not only traveled to the States, but that he lived in SPOKANE, WASHINGTON for a year of his life. We couldn't believe it! He was an exchange student and got placed in Spokane his senior year of high school--Mt. Spokane high school to be exact. He goes back to visit his host family every year, and when he is in Spoke he frequently visits the ULTIMATE BAGEL! Also, as you can see, he drives in Washington and plans on renewing his license this summer. This really is a SMALL WORLD.

Who has spent a 21st b-day in Prague?

Backpacking through Europe-- we like to call it! We spent our last 2 weeks in Vienna, Austria and Prague, Czech Republic. It was all so unbelievable! This blog and the last one highlight the trip, but a lot of the things I have encountered are indescribable!

Birthday cake videos!

We traveled to Prague on my birthday day. This is my birthday cake, it was sooo delicious!! It was gone in like 5 minutes between the three of us. I think I ate most of it though.....

Evie, is the girl on the far right, we got to stay with her the 4 days we were in Prague. She is Liz's friend from home and she is studying in Prague this semester. It was so nice of her to share her dorm room with us!!
The castle in Prague. The church that is connected to the castle.
My new boyfriend. Isn't he cute? And he is rich, funny, and is willing to move to Seattle with me. What more could I ask for in a man. HA! Well ,this is actually some brilliant art, called the Fading Man.The piece of art as a WHOLE. Charles Bridge in the background!
We took a ghost tour one of the nights. It was funny/scary at times. Like when we would turn a corner after hearing a old murder story and someone dressed as a ghost would run at us with their hands up and disappear into the darkness. We screamed every time!! Even when we knew it was coming! It is an experience I will never forget.
The tram!
